Accounts Payable Associate

About the role

Workster is partnering with a global investment management firm to hire an Accounts Payable Associate for its Sofia office. The role sits within the Accounting team and manages the end‑to‑end vendor payment process worldwide, from invoice intake to disbursement and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and verify vendor invoices, ensuring legitimacy, proper authorization and correct tax or banking details.
• Upload, code and allocate invoices in the ERP system (NetSuite or equivalent) and reconcile them against purchase records or inventory documentation.
• Prepare and process ACH and wire payments, execute funding workflows, and create disbursement and journal files for internal fund entities.
• Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile vendor statements and general‑ledger accounts, and support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders while contributing to continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, preferably in financial services or investment management.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system such as NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables.
