Communications Principal Specialist

About the role

The Communications Principal Specialist will lead employee communications for GlobalFoundries' Bulgaria site and support smaller EMEA locations. Working closely with site leadership, HR and the global communications team, the role drives employee engagement, organizational communications and employer branding initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary communications partner for the Bulgaria site, advising leadership and HR on employee communications and engagement.
• Develop and execute site communication strategies that align local priorities with GlobalFoundries' global objectives.
• Create, edit and publish employee communications such as announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, intranet content and employee stories.
• Support site leadership in town halls, all‑hands sessions, site visits and employee events.
• Lead engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, recognition and understanding of company priorities.
• Develop and execute employer branding activities to attract talent and enhance the company’s reputation.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR and business leaders on recruiting campaigns, onboarding communications and workforce growth.
• Manage external agencies, vendors and budgets related to communications, branding and events.
• Maintain internal and external channel content, ensuring accurate and timely messaging.
• Identify and promote employee success stories, innovation highlights and community impact programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal/employee communications and engagement.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and HR partners.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
• Experience managing employer branding and recruitment communication initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
