ESG Manager

About the role

PwC’s ESG team helps organisations navigate sustainable transformation, regulatory change and stakeholder expectations. As an ESG Manager you will lead client engagements, develop ESG strategies, deliver sustainability reporting and provide transaction‑related ESG due diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end ESG engagements covering strategy, reporting, regulatory readiness and ESG due diligence.
• Plan, resource, schedule and budget projects while ensuring quality reviews.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders across Sustainability, Finance, Risk, Legal and Operations.
• Conduct gap assessments, define material ESG topics, design disclosures and support compliance with CSRD/ESRS, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB and Integrated Reporting.
• Design ESG data, process and control frameworks, assess data quality and technology requirements.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative ESG analysis, benchmarking and deep‑dives on portfolio companies.
• Identify ESG risks, liabilities and remediation actions for transaction‑related due diligence.
• Contribute to business development and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of sustainability and ESG topics, reporting standards, regulations and frameworks.
• Experience delivering ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, sustainability strategy or ESG due diligence projects.
• Excellent analytical, structuring and summarising abilities.
• Confident written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently and in a team.
• High motivation and passion for sustainability, climate change and responsible business practices.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and regulations (e.g., CSRD/ESRS, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, Integrated Reporting).
