Financial Accountant (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Cision is looking for a Financial Accountant to cover a maternity leave within its global Finance Department. The role will focus on high‑volume transactional processes, supporting month‑end close, financial analysis, and audit activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries for bank activities, prepaid expenses, PPE, accrued expenses, payroll, and intercompany accounting.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, responding to reviewer and management inquiries.
• Collaborate with international accounting teams, FP&A, Legal, and external consultants on flux analysis and ad‑hoc support.
• Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and resolve audit issues.
• Assist with footnote tie‑outs for quarterly and year‑end financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Support statutory financial reporting and statutory audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in English for internal communication.
• Experience in a global, decentralized environment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and capacity to manage repetitive tasks independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• NetSuite accounting software.
• Knowledge of US GAAP (preferred).
