Financial Controller – OPEX & HR Cost Management

About the role

As a Financial Controller you will own OPEX and personnel cost controlling, turning workforce data into strategic decisions for senior management. You will partner with HR, department leads and leadership in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own OPEX controlling with a focus on personnel costs, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Lead FTE and salary planning across budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Prepare and present workforce, headcount and personnel cost analyses for senior management.
• Partner with HR and business leaders to provide data‑driven insights for strategic decisions.
• Evaluate business cases, financial risks and cost performance, identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to OPEX and personnel costs.
• Drive controlling projects, process improvements and automation initiatives using digital tools and AI.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Controlling, HR or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Corporate Finance or HR/Personnel Controlling.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost‑center management and variance analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven mindset.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

• Advanced Excel.
• Business intelligence (BI) tools and reporting solutions.
• Finance/HR systems such as SAP, Workday and SuccessFactors.
