Fund Accountant

About the role

Workster is partnering with a global investment management firm to recruit a Fund Accountant for its Sofia office. The role supports the Finance team with daily fund P&L reporting and broader fund accounting responsibilities in a fast‑paced hedge‑fund environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily T+1 P&L reporting.
• Identify and investigate P&L discrepancies, collaborating with fund administrators, operations, and risk teams.
• Review portfolio valuations across multiple strategies and asset classes, including Equities, Rates, FX, and Credit.
• Assist in the monthly NAV closing process, reviewing reconciliations (cash, trades, positions, and other balances) and investment/non‑investment accruals.
• Support the review of investor allocations and ensure timely distribution of investor statements.
• Contribute to maintaining strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of fund accounting experience, ideally within a hedge‑fund environment.
• Experience with SS&C, Enfusion, or Arcesium platforms.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 firm auditing funds is an advantage.
• ACCA or CFA qualification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of investment products across Equity, Rates, FX, and Credit.
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong control mindset and commitment to accuracy.
