Legal and Commercial Manager

About the role

Experian is seeking a Legal and Commercial Manager to join its Commercial Management team within the Customer Value Office. The role supports the UK&I business by providing commercial and contractual expertise, ensuring deals are structured, negotiated and concluded in line with company policy and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support, including drafting amendments and reviewing contract terms.
• Draft, negotiate and manage a variety of commercial agreements globally, such as software licensing, data, services, support, framework and partner agreements.
• Ensure sales transactions comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and risk‑management standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Compliance, Data Protection and other stakeholders to govern deals and mitigate risk.
• Lead negotiations of complex, high‑value commercial terms and contract schedules.
• Improve contract templates and commercial processes, delivering guidance and training to internal teams.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments to inform contract strategy and promote a customer‑centric, compliant culture.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with post‑qualification experience in commercial law, preferably within a regulated or technology‑driven environment.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Legal/Commercial/Contract Management role.
• Proven experience drafting, negotiating and managing contracts related to software licensing, software development and data provision.
• Minimum 1 year leading process‑improvement projects.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
