Tax Compliance Specialist – CIT & VAT

About the role

PwC’s Accounting & Tax compliance team in Bulgaria is looking for a Tax Compliance Specialist focused on Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT). This position offers early‑to‑mid‑level professionals the chance to work on tax‑driven engagements for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, annual reconciliations and related filings.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, VIES declarations and other indirect‑tax submissions.
• Support clients in meeting ongoing tax compliance obligations.
• Assist with communications to tax authorities, including audits and inspections.
• Monitor legislative changes and evaluate their impact on client obligations.
• Collaborate with PwC teams in Bulgaria and across the global network on compliance projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• 1–3 years of experience in tax compliance, corporate taxation or VAT.
• Practical knowledge of Bulgarian CIT and VAT legislation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting documentation.
• Very good command of Bulgarian and English.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
