Technical SEO Analyst

About the role

Merkle is seeking a Technical SEO Analyst to join its Sofia team. The role focuses on improving the visibility and organic performance of digital platforms across multiple markets. You will work on technical SEO, content optimisation, and authority‑building activities to ensure sites are fully optimised for users and search engines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align localised SEO strategies with global marketing goals.
• Conduct technical and on‑page SEO audits and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and report on organic performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms.
• Improve indexing health, site performance metrics and Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop.
• Collaborate with content, development and analytics teams to implement SEO best practices.
• Provide regular insights on market trends, emerging technologies and search behaviour.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in SEO, covering both technical and content optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, Lighthouse, SEMrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
• Understanding of structured data, Core Web Vitals, mobile‑first indexing and international SEO.
• Ability to translate data into actionable strategies and communicate findings effectively.
• Up‑to‑date with search engine algorithm changes and industry developments.
