Legal Associate – Mergers & Acquisition

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Legal Associate to join a leading global law firm, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. The role involves supporting clients across a variety of corporate transactions and providing commercially‑focused legal advice.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients on a broad range of corporate and M&A transactions.
• Assist with legal due diligence, reviewing corporate, commercial and regulatory documents and identifying legal risks.
• Prepare and contribute to due diligence reports, transaction summaries and other deal‑related documentation.
• Draft and review transaction documents, corporate documents and commercial agreements.
• Support the structuring, execution and closing of M&A transactions.
• Provide practical, commercially‑oriented legal advice to help clients achieve their transaction objectives.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE) in corporate law or M&A.
• Experience at a reputable international law firm or a strong local law firm.
• Good knowledge of Bulgarian or English corporate and commercial law.
• Excellent legal drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Bulgarian or international law degree.
• Admission to the Bulgarian Bar (or eligibility for admission).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional international bar admissions are welcome.
