Senior Financial Controller

About the role

As the Senior Financial Controller at Shelly, you will be at the core of the Group’s monthly close and reporting cycle. You will transform financial data from multiple entities into accurate, consistent, and decision‑ready reports, ensuring the rigor expected of a publicly listed company while thriving in a fast‑moving, scale‑up environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and review financial data submitted by local accounting teams across various entities and jurisdictions.
• Execute group consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidation entries.
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements, and key analytical schedules.
• Collaborate closely with the wider finance team and external auditors throughout the close process.
• Identify and escalate errors, inconsistencies, and risks to the Head of Group Reporting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial control, or group reporting, preferably in a multi‑entity, fast‑growing environment.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to communicate clearly in English.
