Costing Manager II – EMEA/LATAM

About the role

The Costing Manager II will join the Costing Department within the ECS group, supporting Costing Directors in delivering accurate cost estimates for clinical studies across EMEA or LATAM. The role involves close daily interaction with Costing Directors and collaboration with multiple functional teams to ensure cost proposals align with strategic delivery plans.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFP scope and specifications, initiate and continuously update the pricing tool throughout the cost finalisation process.
• Adjust system‑generated default budgets independently or based on feedback from Costing Directors and other stakeholders.
• Participate in all RFP‑related meetings, including risk assessment, strategy, pricing specification, senior management calls and bid defence preparation.
• Lead or support the preparation of full proposals, ball‑park estimates, abbreviated responses, letters and re‑cost estimates.
• Manage delegated costing compilations for both RFP responses and awarded projects.
• Create and apply customised monitoring strategies using the monitoring calculator where required.
• Review pass‑through items and vendor quotes, request adjustments and ensure accurate cost capture.
• Support the drafting and review of assumptions documents and RFI responses to maintain alignment with budgets and SOPs.
• Coordinate with resourcing, senior directors, clinical operations and other key stakeholders to secure timely project team assignments.
• Collaborate with pricing teams to map and finalise client budget grids with correct WBS codes.
• Contribute to updates of country‑, region‑ and client‑specific costing rules and algorithms.

Required profile

• Experience in costing for clinical studies or related pharmaceutical projects.
• Familiarity with RFP processes and cost proposal development.
• Ability to work closely with Costing Directors and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder coordination and vendor interactions.
