Director Cyber Technology

About the role

KPMG Delivery Network Bulgaria is seeking an experienced Director to lead its Cyber Technology team serving the Irish market. Based in Sofia, the role combines strategic account development, technology‑enabled cyber delivery, commercial leadership and people management, with about 30% travel to Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary bridge between Irish client stakeholders and the Sofia delivery team, translating business needs into actionable technical work packages across cloud security, IAM, DevSecOps and related domains.
• Provide senior oversight for a portfolio of cyber technology engagements, ensuring governance, delivery plans, measurable outcomes and compliance with quality and risk standards.
• Develop and execute a growth plan for cyber technology services in Ireland, building trusted relationships with C‑level executives and shaping client propositions.
• Lead business development activities, including proposal creation, pricing, contracting and conversion of discovery discussions into billable engagements.
• Create a transparent work‑management framework for the team, coach multidisciplinary professionals and manage capability planning, recruitment and succession for the Irish market.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cyber security, technology consulting or managed security services with proven leadership responsibility.
• Track record of growing client relationships, originating opportunities and delivering complex cyber programmes in a professional‑services environment.
• Broad knowledge across multiple cyber technology domains and familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, DORA and NIS2.
• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science, engineering or related field; professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP) are desirable.
• Executive presence, strong commercial acumen and the ability to communicate technical risk in clear business language.
