Director of Engineering

About the role

Light & Wonder is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead both front‑end and back‑end development teams within its global iGaming platform. The role focuses on aligning teams, keeping projects on schedule, and driving technical strategy across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front‑end and back‑end development teams and ensure delivery of high‑quality software.
• Monitor reliability and performance of internal processes, implementing improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations and industry standards.
• Set goals, timelines, and objectives for software development teams.
• Develop strategies for future projects based on company objectives and resources.
• Hire, onboard, and coordinate new engineers.
• Introduce innovative technologies and coordinate external stakeholder integrations.

Required profile

• Experience managing globally dispersed engineering and QA teams at scale.
• Proven ability to refactor legacy code bases.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
