Director, Tax Reporting & Transformation

About the role

As Director, Tax Reporting & Transformation you will lead the global tax accounting and reporting function for a leading consumer‑goods company. Reporting to the VP Tax & Customs, you will drive both operational excellence and a strategic transformation agenda across tax processes, systems and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end tax accounting and reporting, including tax provisioning, deferred tax, effective tax rate reporting and external disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards through robust controls and documentation.
• Oversee review of tax risks, uncertain positions and deferred tax asset recoverability.
• Serve as primary tax contact for external auditors.
• Define and execute the global Tax Transformation roadmap, focusing on simplification, standardisation and automation.
• Implement and optimise tax technology solutions, reporting platforms and data‑management tools.
• Strengthen tax governance, including Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Partner with Finance, Business, Technology and Shared Services to embed tax requirements in broader transformation programmes.
• Develop advanced tax analytics, forecasting and reporting capabilities.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing tax reporting team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in multinational tax accounting and reporting.
• Deep technical knowledge of IFRS tax accounting, especially IAS 12.
• Proven track record of leading complex transformation initiatives.
• Experience working within strong tax governance and control environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership.
