Financial Controller

About the role

Join A1 Bulgaria as a Financial Controller and become a key partner for business decisions. You will provide deep‑dive financial analysis, support cost‑control activities and ensure accurate reporting across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Business partnering – advise on financial matters, analyse impact of decisions on KPIs and top‑line results.
• Cost control – review and approve expenses, manage budget allocation across cost centres.
• End‑to‑end controlling – support strategy planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Drive cross‑company alignment and consolidate planning and reporting data.
• Set up, enhance and maintain controlling processes, roles, tasks and KPIs.
• Monthly reporting on financial and non‑financial indicators, including variance analysis.
• Prepare presentations and ad‑hoc reports with actionable economic insights.
• Develop business cases, evaluate profitability and document recommendations.
• Collaborate with multinational teams to meet compliance deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Controlling or a related finance function.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.
• Result‑oriented attitude, positive motivation and ability to work in an agile environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP modules (CO, FI).
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
