Freight Forwarding Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage international and domestic road transportation for our client’s own fleet. The role blends coordination of logistics processes with proactive sourcing and negotiation of loads across Bulgaria‑Europe and intra‑European routes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate international and domestic road shipments.
• Source and negotiate loads for the company’s fleet, optimizing routes, vehicle utilisation and empty mileage.
• Handle standard and oversized cargo, including low‑loader transport and special permits.
• Manage documentation, customs, loading/unloading and import/export procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, freight forwarders and suppliers.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Transport, Economics, International Trade or a related field.
• Proven experience in freight forwarding, international transportation or logistics.
• Familiarity with European road transport regulations and documentation.
• Good command of English; additional language is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of GPS and transport management systems.
• Use of freight exchange platforms for load sourcing.
