Hardware Developer – Sensors & Cables

About the role

Develop electronic hardware for electric automation systems, focusing on sensors and cables, in close collaboration with mechanical engineers, firmware developers and other project members.

Key responsibilities

• Design analog and digital hardware circuits from concept to production release.
• Supervise PCB layout, ensuring EMC‑compliant designs for series production.
• Debug and test prototypes with a hands‑on approach.
• Maintain existing product portfolio for long‑term availability, cost competitiveness, quality and producibility.
• Monitor semiconductor market trends and incorporate relevant developments.
• Build and set up prototypes and coordinate functional testing.
• Participate actively in project teams, FMEA and other development committees.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum three years of practical experience in electronic hardware design.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Experience with serial‑production or mass‑realised products is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller systems, analog electronics and SMPS.
• Familiarity with Cadence Allegro or similar PCB design tools is a plus.
