Manager, IT/IS - Finance Business Systems

About the role

74Software is looking for an experienced Manager, IT/IS to lead its Finance Business Systems team within the global Information Systems organisation. The role combines team leadership, product ownership, delivery governance and hands-on oversight of enterprise finance solutions, with a primary focus on Workday Financial Management. It is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop an international team of business systems professionals focused on finance solutions, particularly Workday Finance, and coach and support their development.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of finance applications, from design and configuration through testing, deployment, support and optimisation, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Maintain platform stability and service continuity, including incident, problem and change management, and keep technical debt visible and prioritised.
• Act as the trusted interface between Finance and IS, translating business needs into requirements and communicating plans, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions meet security, confidentiality, access control, data governance, auditability and regulatory compliance requirements, and apply enterprise architecture principles to solution design and investment.
• Monitor Workday and other technology developments, recommend a roadmap, and drive responsible adoption of AI-enabled capabilities for Workday Finance.
• Manage relevant vendors and partners, including service quality, delivery expectations and commercial performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an IT/IS, enterprise applications or business systems team in an international organisation.
• Demonstrated ownership of business-critical applications across delivery, operations, support and continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Strong experience with enterprise finance systems or ERP platforms; hands-on knowledge of Workday Financial Management is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of SaaS governance, integrations, data management, security, access controls, audit and compliance.
• Preferred: Workday Finance, Procurement, Project Accounting, Adaptive Planning or Financial Reporting; integrations, reporting or data platforms such as Workday Studio, APIs, Snowflake or Microsoft Power BI; exposure to AI-enabled applications, automation or MLOps; vendor management experience; certifications such as ITIL, Agile or project-management.
