Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

As our new Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and develop innovative, eco‑friendly cooling and heating systems that help our customers achieve carbon‑neutral goals. Your work will enhance energy efficiency, optimise system integration, and contribute directly to Danfoss’ mission of creating sustainable climate solutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system integration and product‑portfolio consolidation to deliver efficient, customer‑focused solutions, including prototype, subsystem and module development.
• Perform mechanical design and 3D modelling of complete systems (piping, bending, flow and space calculations) based on P&ID diagrams.
• Use advanced 3D tools for collision analysis, virtual assembly and optimisation of cost, efficiency and operation.
• Validate system performance through simulation and testing, and ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system engineering or system design.
• Strong background in mechanical design; fluency in English.
• Proficiency with CAD systems and Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
• Analytical, creative and independent working style with a structured problem‑solving approach.
