Principal Site Reliability Engineer (Sovereign Cloud)

About the role

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer for the Sovereign Cloud team, you will own the reliability, security and performance of cloud services running on a large GCP/AWS infrastructure. The role is fully remote and works closely with developers, data scientists and security experts to deliver production‑ready, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate secure, highly available cloud infrastructure for Sovereign Cloud.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Terraform, Python and shell scripting.
• Implement end‑to‑end monitoring, alerting and observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Loki.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and lead root‑cause analysis of critical incidents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD) and ensure reliable deployments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven track record building high‑availability, cloud‑native applications on AWS or GCP.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, containers and Linux system administration.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
