Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager

About the role

Danone is seeking a Procurement & Supplier Relationship Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for its operations in Sofia. You will shape procurement strategies, drive cost‑effective sourcing, and ensure seamless logistics across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and category strategies aligned with business priorities and financial targets.
• Lead market assessments, supplier identification, RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluation and award recommendations.
• Identify savings, cost‑avoidance and total‑cost‑of‑ownership opportunities while building resilient sourcing models.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with strategic and operational suppliers, leading negotiations, contract creation and renewals.
• Define supplier performance expectations, conduct reviews, track corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, monitor OTIF, inventory accuracy, warehouse productivity and logistics costs.
• Implement route optimisation, load utilisation and distribution flow improvements.
• Lead business continuity actions with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, 3PLs and distributors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of logistics operations, inventory management and 3PL coordination.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
