Quality Engineer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

As a Quality Engineer you will be central to building and continuously improving quality across Danfoss' manufacturing operations in Sofia. You will ensure that products and processes meet the highest standards while proactively preventing problems before they arise.

Key responsibilities

• Own quality throughout the product and process lifecycle, from new product development to final inspection and customer quality.
• Lead root‑cause analysis, 4‑step and 8D problem‑solving activities, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage and improve quality processes and standards, including IATF 16949 core tools, control plans, audits, change management, and equipment calibration.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers on quality issues, claims, complaints, waivers, and external audits.
• Use quality data to monitor KPIs, analyse trends, report results and identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, analytical Quality Engineer with experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge of IATF 16949 core tools and structured problem‑solving methods such as 8D.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, able to work with quality data, KPIs and documentation.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with production, suppliers, engineering and international stakeholders.
