Safety Scientist II/III – EMEA

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Safety Scientist II/III to join its EMEA team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering signal detection and product safety activities across a range of product complexities, supporting clinical trial safety monitoring and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute signal detection and product safety tasks of varying complexity.
• Conduct quality reviews of safety activities and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their training and development.
• Develop and improve processes, tools, and systems related to safety science.
• Lead small pharmacovigilance (FSP) projects and contribute to bid defence and proposal development.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and multiple internal systems.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and act as a subject‑matter expert in designated areas.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality, accurate safety data.
• Experience in managing safety profiles of new drugs in clinical trials.
• Ability to work under supervision for ultra‑high‑complexity tasks while independently handling lower‑complexity activities.
• Excellent communication skills for advising clients and interacting with cross‑functional teams.
