Site Engineer – Electrical (Solar PV Project)

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking a Site Engineer – Electrical to join the construction team on the Elhovo solar PV project in the Yambol region of Bulgaria. You will be responsible for supervising all electrical installations, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting the project from installation through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installations and works on the PV project site.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely execution according to specifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform regular inspections and quality checks of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to avoid delays.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Monitor progress and report on electrical work status.
• Maintain up‑to‑date electrical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on PV or similar projects.
• Fluency in Bulgarian and English.

Required skills

• Electrical installations on solar PV projects.
• Knowledge of NEC and IEC electrical codes.
