Strategic Buyer

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Strategic Buyer to manage purchasing activities for a specific category in the Sevlievo region. You will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure optimal value, quality, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new suppliers in partnership with category, quality, and engineering teams.
• Negotiate contracts, price lists, terms and conditions, and adapt corporate frameworks to local needs.
• Process bids, evaluate data, and support proposal teams with market insights.
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, lead time) and resolve issues.
• Align supplier orders with ERP and project requirements regarding content, sustainability, and price.
• Execute all supply chain activities in line with company policies.
• Maintain the global supplier relationship management platform and ensure supplier qualification.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or supply chain.
• Good level of English and strong negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, curious, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Team‑player with solid communication skills.

• Experience with an ERP system.
• Project Management knowledge.
