Supervisor, Pharmacovigilance (Safety Reporting)

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is looking for a Supervisor, Pharmacovigilance to oversee safety monitoring and reporting of adverse events related to clinical trials and marketed products. The role contributes to patient safety and regulatory compliance through effective management of pharmacovigilance activities, coordination with cross-functional teams and high standards of safety reporting. The position is open to Poland or Bulgaria.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day pharmacovigilance safety reporting operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations and regulatory affairs, to optimise pharmacovigilance processes.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and internal standard operating procedures for safety reporting.
• Manage the safety submissions workflow and submit to regulatory authorities.
• Provide leadership and training to the pharmacovigilance team, ensuring adherence to best practices in safety reporting.

Required profile

• 8+ years in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy or a related field.
• Solid experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety, with a focus on clinical trials or post-marketing surveillance.
• Strong knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team and handle multiple tasks accurately.
