Account Executive – New Business

About the role

Zayo Europe is looking for an ambitious Account Executive to join its New Business team. The role focuses on acquiring new carrier customers across Europe, leveraging Zayo’s expanding network of Points of Presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and acquire new carrier customers throughout Europe.
• Develop a pipeline of carriers, ISPs, network operators and service providers.
• Target opportunities generated by Zayo’s expansion into new PoPs, cities and markets.
• Conduct proactive outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, industry events and other channels.
• Build relationships, understand customer network requirements and collaborate with internal commercial, product and technical teams to design solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to contract signature.
• Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline and forecasting data in the CRM.
• Attend relevant industry events and customer meetings across Europe.

Required profile

• Approximately 1–2 years of B2B sales, business development or a customer‑facing commercial role.
• Strong interest in technology, connectivity or digital infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills.
• Confidence engaging prospects via phone, email, social media and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Proactive, resilient approach to prospecting and new‑business development.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions and countries.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.
