Corporate IT Security & Risk Oversight Owner – 2nd Line

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to provide independent information security and risk oversight for SEEBURGER Corporate IT as part of the Second Line of Defense. Reporting to the Global Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, you will align Corporate IT with the company’s management systems and ensure robust security, data protection, and business continuity practices.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate creation, maintenance and improvement of Information Security Process Descriptions within Corporate IT.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of all Corporate IT systems, platforms and tools with security classifications.
• Assess security and risk implications of IT architectures, processes and operational models.
• Plan, execute and document risk‑based internal audits and control reviews.
• Support third‑party risk management, vendor assessments and AI‑related security reviews.
• Prepare and support external certifications and audits such as ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2, TISAX and BSI C5.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Information Security or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a 2nd Line of Defense, IT audit or GRC role.
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel quarterly to Germany.
• Relevant certifications (CISM, CRISC, CISA) are an advantage.

Required skills

• ISO 27001 (ISMS) implementation and auditing.
• ISO 22301 (BCM) knowledge.
• Experience with SOC 1, SOC 2, TISAX, BSI C5, CyberVadis.
• Third‑party risk management (TPRM) and customer security questionnaire handling.
• Risk‑based internal audit execution.
