Head of Project Management – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Project Management to lead our renewable energy division. The role oversees the planning and delivery of large‑scale photovoltaic projects abroad while managing a dedicated project management function.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, steer and complete turn‑key photovoltaic projects.
• Coordinate with all business functions to align project development with strategy.
• Manage departmental activities related to project planning, daily operational control and coordination with other units.
• Monitor and control project budgets and timelines against approved programs.
• Handle permitting activities and liaison with local authorities.
• Serve as the main client contact and manage administrative aspects such as meetings, action plans, templates, and documentation.
• Oversee risk management, schedule backups, cost controls and contract obligations.
• Facilitate workshops, kick‑off and wrap‑up meetings, and knowledge‑transfer sessions.
• Prepare presentations, analyses and report progress to senior management.
• Continuously review processes, escalate issues promptly and ensure deadlines are met.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or a related technical field.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience on large construction or renewable‑energy projects, preferably in Bulgaria or internationally.
• PMI, PMP or PMQ certification, or equivalent experience in organizations with established PM practices.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with MS Project.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
