IP Architect

About the role

Join A1 Bulgaria’s network team to design and maintain scalable IP architectures for a leading telecom and digital services provider. You will lead high‑level design of international IP transformation projects and ensure technical consistency from concept to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain scalable IP network architectures for internal service provider infrastructure.
• Lead architecture and high‑level design of international IP transformation projects.
• Develop architecture guidelines, design standards, HLD/LLD documents, migration strategies and implementation blueprints.
• Provide architectural leadership and technical guidance during deployment, supporting engineering and operations teams.
• Drive network modernization strategies, lifecycle management plans and migration roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, vendors and international customers to deliver robust solutions.
• Contribute to technical proposals, RFI/RFP responses, solution sizing and effort estimation for new opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in IP/MPLS service provider environments.
• Strong knowledge of routing platforms from Cisco, Nokia, Juniper or equivalent vendors.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Nokia NRS or comparable.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Routing protocols: OSPF, IS‑IS, BGP.
• MPLS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Layer 3 VPN, VPLS/EoMPLS, EVPN, VXLAN.
• Experience with Cisco, Nokia and Juniper equipment.
• Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Nokia NRS.
