Key Account Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive growth and profitability for its Process Automation Measurement & Analytics business line in Bulgaria. You will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to ABB’s mission of creating cleaner, smarter industrial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement account plans and statements of work to increase share‑of‑wallet and profitability.
• Analyse key business drivers, emerging risks (e.g., sustainability, digital, cybersecurity) and translate them into opportunities for ABB.
• Expand market presence in target sectors such as Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, and Power & Energy.
• Define sales targets, monitor market price developments and competitor activity, and propose response strategies.
• Coordinate daily sales activities, monitor ongoing projects and resolve customer issues.
• Provide input on market trends and pricing to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of successful sales experience with a proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
• Strong communication skills in Bulgarian and English.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in a hybrid/remote model.
• Understanding of Measurement & Analytics products and the ability to protect proprietary information.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Measurement & Analytics solutions for industrial applications.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals.
