Market Access and Government Affairs Lead

About the role

Medtronic seeks a Market Access and Government Affairs Lead in Bulgaria to drive equitable access to innovative medical technologies. You will shape market access strategy, engage with payers and authorities, and support the company’s mission to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute and monitor a competitive Market Access strategy for assigned products, raising awareness of Medtronic’s value.
• Lead and coordinate Market Access activities with internal and external stakeholders, including negotiations with payers, pricing, reimbursement and HTA processes.
• Collect and analyse market insights, translate them into short‑, mid‑ and long‑term tactics, and share best practices across the region.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, insurers, healthcare professionals and patient groups to promote access to new therapies.

Required profile

• University diploma in Life Sciences, Health Economics or related field.
• 3‑5 years of Market Access experience in med‑tech or pharmaceutical industry, preferably with multinational exposure.
• Proven track record of successful market access projects with national insurers and authorities in Bulgaria.
• Native Bulgarian speaker with fluent business English (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, HTA and health‑economic evaluation.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
