Plant Utilities Senior Engineer

About the role

Stomana Industry SA, Bulgaria’s largest steel producer, is seeking a Plant Utilities Senior Engineer to ensure the reliable operation and continuous improvement of its Water Treatment Plant. Reporting to the Energy Senior Manager, you will lead maintenance, safety, and modernization activities in a challenging industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and control the technical condition of Water Treatment Plant equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and emergency interventions.
• Manage health and safety activities for the team, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Interpret and work with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Develop and implement new technologies, equipment modernisation and process improvements.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate procurement of spare parts.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in water supply, treatment or cooling systems within an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with Bulgarian legislation is an asset.
• Knowledge of QMS, EMS and OHSMS requirements.
• Excellent command of English.
• Willingness to work onsite in a demanding environment.
