About the role
ABB is seeking a Production Development Engineer to optimise assembly methods, processes and equipment, driving efficiency, quality and safety across the production organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, stability and performance.
- Support production operations with engineering expertise, problem resolution and implementation of new technologies.
- Monitor production performance, analyse data and provide structured reporting for decision‑making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, support workforce development and ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and knowledge of continuous improvement concepts.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel abroad to ensure business continuity.
Required skills
- 5S methodology
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Lean Six Sigma (certificate considered an advantage)
