Project Manager – Obesity Clinical Trials

About the role

Join ICON Biotech as a Project Manager and play a key role in driving the successful delivery of innovative clinical research programmes. Working within the General Medicine portfolio with a dedicated focus on obesity studies, you will lead cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams, coordinating efforts to meet objectives and facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement strategies to keep projects on track.
• Engage with stakeholders to manage expectations, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals and organisational objectives.
• Prepare and present project reports, status updates, and performance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Solid project and programme management experience with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, effectively managing project teams and prioritising tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and adaptable, committed to achieving project goals and driving continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 30%).

Required skills

• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 (advantageous).
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
