PV Power Plant Operations & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a PV Power Plant Operations & Maintenance Engineer to organise and coordinate the operation of photovoltaic power plants in Bulgaria.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate daily operation of photovoltaic power plants.
• Manage contracts, schedules, deadlines, compliance, acceptance protocols and tender processes.
• Develop and review technical requirements for projects, services, insurance, supply and construction contracts.
• Prepare technical instructions, operating manuals and deliver training when needed.
• Coordinate, monitor and document maintenance, construction and installation activities.
• Oversee replacement projects, construction works and commissioning.
• Lead procurement processes, evaluate bidders and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation to support management decisions and authorize payments.
• Produce forecasts, budgets and operational plans.
• Monitor plant operating mode and submit REMIT notifications.
• Act as main contact for external organisations.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in PV plant construction, operation and maintenance.
• Experience with electrical power plant construction and knowledge of related administrative procedures.
• Understanding of electricity trading rules and REMIT requirements.
• Strong knowledge of PV plant O&M practices and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with data management, analysis and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for energy facilities.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Valid category B driving licence.
