Senior Data Engineer - AI & Databricks

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer focusing on AI and Databricks, you will shape AI adoption across Danfoss Climate Solutions, especially within the global sales organization. You will build and evolve a trusted, scalable, and well‑governed Databricks platform that enables sales teams to turn data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve Databricks governance, including Unity Catalog, data access, security, and data quality.
• Design and maintain scalable data architecture, ensuring best practices across data models, tables, and pipelines.
• Enhance Genie spaces (AI‑powered knowledge tools) by improving content, entity matching, and answer quality.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to enable adoption of data products and AI solutions that support data‑driven sales decisions.
• Evaluate and implement new Databricks and AI capabilities to improve platform performance and deliver measurable business value.

Required profile

• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse) and data‑governance practices.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with hands‑on experience building scalable data models and modern ETL pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and manage data platforms that enable analytics or AI use cases in a business environment.
• Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders and translating data/AI capabilities into practical business solutions.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
