Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, secure, and operate large‑scale Amazon EKS environments within enterprise AWS deployments. The role is based in Sofia and requires four days per week on‑site, focusing on cloud‑native infrastructure and advanced networking.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure AWS network topologies, including Transit Gateway, VPC peering, and hybrid connections.
• Deploy, manage, upgrade, and troubleshoot Amazon EKS clusters at scale, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, service meshes, and security controls such as RBAC, Pod Security Standards, and Network Policies.
• Monitor and observability setup using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry, and drive incident response.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Route 53).
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Amazon EKS and production‑grade Kubernetes platforms.

Required skills

• AWS networking and security (IAM, NACLs, Security Groups, WAF).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, CDK.
• CI/CD and GitOps tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux, Helm, Kustomize.
• Scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry.
