Senior Frontend Software Engineer – Payments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments & Blockchain team, focusing on building and maintaining high‑quality payment processing systems for Kraken.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain payment processing systems using React.js, Next.js and related technologies.
• Build seamless transaction experiences that optimize fund transfers for speed, security, and reliability.
• Ensure efficient onboarding experiences for users interacting with payment systems.
• Develop innovative features to enhance engagement, retention, and loyalty within the payments ecosystem.
• Set standards for secure code, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence.
• Design scalable, fault‑tolerant financial systems ensuring compliance and security best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience, focusing on web and mobile applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in a large technology organization or fast‑growing startup.
