Senior Generative AI Engineer – Gaming (Sofia)

About the role

As a Senior Generative AI Engineer you will help build and evolve the AI systems that power a leading gaming client’s player support platform. The role sits at the centre of two connected products – an AI assistant used directly by players and an AI copilot used by support agents – and requires hands‑on experience shipping production AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production‑grade LLM applications, agentic workflows and retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines.
• Build and extend the conversation engine, including flow validation, configuration tooling and admin experiences.
• Integrate tool‑use and agentic protocols with providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini.
• Evaluate, benchmark and tune models across multiple providers, balancing quality, latency, throughput and cost.
• Implement resilience mechanisms (retries, fallback routing, caching, streaming, rate limiting) and observability for AI services.
• Develop player‑facing and support‑agent‑facing front‑ends in React, handling performance, accessibility and internationalisation.
• Write comprehensive automated tests and participate in on‑call rotation for production incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating production LLM‑powered systems such as chatbots, AI assistants or agent copilots.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js engineering skills, with fluency in strict‑mode TypeScript.
• Hands‑on production AI experience including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, agent design and model evaluation.
• Ability to model complex asynchronous workflows, preferably with state‑machine experience.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, asynchronous patterns and caching strategies.
