Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist at Nexo, you will ensure that the company’s operations across multiple jurisdictions meet all applicable regulatory requirements. You will work closely with legal, product, and operations teams to embed compliance into daily business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction where Nexo operates and verify full compliance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to evaluate current compliance levels and identify gaps.
• Conduct regular audits, prepare improvement plans, and supervise their implementation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance procedures.
• Supervise junior team members and prepare compliance reports for senior management.
• Assist regulators during site visits and external audits, and coordinate audits with external authorities.
• Maintain ongoing communication with regional legal counsels and regulators.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in virtual assets, banking, FinTech, and RegTech.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law with a strong academic record.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in corporate compliance, credit, or payment environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high‑quality results.
