Senior Server Engineer – Hybrid (Sofia)

About the role

As a Senior Server Engineer you will own the full lifecycle of enterprise server environments across Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and cloud platforms. You will ensure critical systems remain available, secure and ready to support Danfoss’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, upgrade and de‑commission Windows Server and RHEL environments, including migrations and lifecycle management.
• Monitor server performance, resolve incidents, and handle service requests to improve availability and user experience.
• Manage infrastructure security through patching, Active Directory, DNS, access controls and SSL certificate lifecycle.
• Support backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery processes using Commvault and related tools.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, CMDB records and operational procedures while collaborating on migration initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field with several years of server engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, DNS and secure access management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, and backup solutions such as Commvault.
• Knowledge of SSL certificate management, server patching, system upgrades and support of MS SQL Server or MySQL environments.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
