Service Engineer – After‑Sales (Sofia, Bulgaria)

About the role

Chint is seeking a Service Engineer to join its after‑sales team in Sofia. You will be responsible for on‑site installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and systems for projects in Bulgaria, Romania and abroad, while also delivering remote technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site installation, commissioning and fault diagnosis of PV inverters and complete PV systems.
• Provide remote technical support, maintenance and fault analysis for local and overseas projects.
• Assist local engineers, clients and service partners in Bulgaria and Romania with timely solutions, both on‑site and remotely.
• Create service manuals, standard technical documentation and deliver training to service partners and end‑customers.
• Collect on‑site feedback and customer suggestions, and document after‑sales activities.

Required profile

• Fluent in Bulgarian or Romanian (C1/C2) and English (spoken and written).
• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of after‑sales experience with inverters, UPS systems or similar equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Bulgaria, Romania and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team‑oriented and proactive.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in PV systems and PV inverters.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of inverter equipment.
• Knowledge of local (Bulgarian/Romanian/EU) grid requirements and standards.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and conduct training.
