Software Engineer I – Marketing Website

About the role

Quickbase is looking for a Software Engineer I to join the team that maintains and evolves its marketing website built on the Payload CMS platform. This hands‑on role is ideal for an early‑career developer who is eager to deepen technical fundamentals while working in an AI‑augmented development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship new features for the marketing website, including work on the Payload CMS platform.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and regular team rituals.
• Use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as a core part of daily development.
• Collaborate with the content team to support CMS‑based publishing, content structuring, and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional who is dedicated, coachable, and thoughtful.
• Motivated to grow technical expertise under mentorship and eventually take independent ownership of features.

Required skills

• JavaScript and TypeScript.
• React for building UI components.
• Experience or familiarity with headless CMS architectures (Payload CMS, Contentful, Sanity, or similar).
• Working knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with Git version‑control workflows.
• Basic HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• Interest in AI‑assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
