Structural BIM Engineer

About the role

The Energy unit in Sofia is looking for a Structural BIM Engineer to join its civil engineering and architectural design practice. You will provide technical expertise in BIM information management and support multidisciplinary design activities for energy and nuclear projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design solutions and digital information in line with BIM execution plans on multidisciplinary projects.
• Coordinate BIM activities, set up project environments in Autodesk Construction Cloud, and implement ISO 19650 information‑management principles.
• Produce and detail structural members, create BIM models of varying development levels, and conduct clash detection with detailed reporting.
• Support quality‑assurance workflows, verify BIM data, and contribute to the optimisation of digital tools for design automation.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, bid documents and project case studies, and participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and international conferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in structural engineering.
• Experience with BIM software such as Revit (or similar) and a solid understanding of structural design and detailing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2) and familiarity with civil/structural design codes and standards.

Required skills

• Revit (or equivalent BIM software).

• Clash detection and BIM model federation.
