Technical Advisor – Nutrition (MENAU & Asia)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Nutrition Technical Advisor to provide high-quality technical assistance to its country programmes in the Middle East, North Africa, Ukraine (MENAU) and Asia. The role supports both existing nutrition initiatives and the development of new programmes, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and context-appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert nutrition guidance across the full programme cycle, from design to implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with country teams, partners and donors to develop and adapt nutrition interventions that meet local needs.
• Lead capacity-building activities, including training and mentorship for staff and partners.
• Contribute to the regional research agenda and share lessons learned to inform policy and practice.
• Monitor programme performance and provide technical feedback to improve impact and cost-effectiveness.

Required profile

• Significant experience in nutrition programming within humanitarian or development settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries in the MENAU and Asia regions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using evidence to shape interventions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
