Water Engineer - Designer

About the role

ENGINEERIK is seeking a full‑time Water Engineer – Designer to join its Sofia office. The role involves designing and developing water‑related infrastructure such as supply networks, wastewater facilities and pump stations, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting sustainability‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs and detailed drawings for water supply, distribution and wastewater systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and support feasibility studies.
• Contribute to project specifications, reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend client meetings and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and local/international regulations.
• Integrate sustainability objectives into engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of water supply and wastewater distribution system design.
• Practical understanding of pump station selection, sizing and layout.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources or related engineering field.
• Familiarity with local and international standards and regulations for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and produce clear engineering reports and drawings.
• Professional experience in infrastructure projects and a commitment to sustainable engineering solutions is an advantage.
