AI Model Validation Expert

About the role

PwC is seeking an AI Model Validation Expert to join its AI Assurance team in Sofia. You will work alongside data scientists, model‑risk specialists and governance professionals to ensure AI solutions delivered to clients meet rigorous risk, compliance and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the AI Assurance strategy, creating frameworks, governance models and risk‑management processes that can be applied at scale.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design fit‑for‑purpose validation mechanisms, tools and methodologies for AI/ML systems.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and audits of AI/ML models, evaluating regulatory compliance and industry best‑practice adherence.
• Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks aligned with the organization’s risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on AI/ML assurance, staying current with emerging trends and sharing knowledge internally and externally.
• Design and deliver AI literacy programs for developers, users and decision‑makers.
• Partner with legal, compliance, IT and business units to align AI initiatives with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AI model validation, risk assessment or related assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, large language models and data governance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards for AI.
