AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

Join Wiser Technology's Platform Engineering team to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, cloud‑native systems on AWS. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and operations specialists to keep the platform fast, reliable, and developer‑friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, Lambda) using Infrastructure as Code.
• Run containerised workloads on Amazon EKS, managing clusters, images, scaling, and resilience.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline and deploy to Kubernetes via ArgoCD.
• Create reusable Terraform modules and manage infrastructure changes through Git workflows.
• Set up monitoring and alerting with Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Apply AWS and Kubernetes security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Partner with development teams, contribute to architecture decisions, and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Background in DevOps, SRE, Cloud, or Systems Engineering with hands‑on AWS experience.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes/Docker, Terraform (or CloudFormation), and Git‑based workflows.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and using GitOps tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and networking concepts.
• Comfort using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Optional: AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps).
